Jiggity jig & on the road again

May 29, 2012

Oy! I’ve been absent the last few days, and am going to be again. We spent a long holiday weekend off-grid in Maine throwing sticks, catching sticks (that was Mushka), stacking wood, running on dirt roads, swatting black flies, picking rhubarb. The flies won, as I’m sure you could guess if you’ve ever been in the woods in summer. I’m a walking tea tree oil diffuser at the moment. No worries, by tomorrow afternoon I’ll be nursing a Mexican martini, giving my mates a big squeeze and deciding on the next a.m.’s breakfast taco. It’s a very important decision, people. Until then, I’m trying really hard not to haphazardly cut into some fabric and create a pre-holiday I-have-nothing-to-wear crazetastic mess. I’ve been eyeing the blue-violet challis marked for a circle skirt for the last 15 minutes. I think I’ll just dream of a rhubarb inspired outfit instead.

Thank you for all the sweet comments concerning the photography exhibit :) I’ll share the selected images soon.

We picked over 8 cups, and there was much more! I love eating it raw & our freezer is packed, waiting for pie baking :)

Oh! Vacation! How fun! Have a great time, and whoa your willpower not to create a pre-vacation nightmare is amazing – have to remember this the next time I get that manic glint in my eye…

I had patterns pulled out, shears in hand. Then snapped to! Last year I was sewing shorts in the middle of the night before a trip!

I ALWAYS cut into fabric in a pre-holiday crazetastic fest. It’s a very bad thing. Why does it always feel as if I have nothing to wear? Too many white elephants? Anyway, those mexican martinis sound fabulous and I can’t wait to see what’s in the queue! Happy pre-summer kick off!

It’s sooo tempting! And I’ve done it too many times. Must be the white elephants, wanting to pack light & not having enough mix/match, and just desiring something refreshing for the refreshing change of air/scenery!!

Oh girl, the ONE thing I truly miss when I am not in Texas is a breakfast taco. Seriously, what is it about them? Hope you are enjoying ;).
