What’s that? I don’t win a free lobster dinner? Never mind, because this might be even more succulent. The funny, stylish, talented seamster and graphic designer Amanda sent a little blog love my way when she said the following:
“Lavender at threadsquare – a lovely, friendly, inspiring and stylish sewist who blogs her creations in ways that make one think she might secretly be a supermodel, and who also has a wonderful little vintage pattern shop on Etsy ”
Darling, you make me blush. For real. The Liebster Award is designed to send some love to the online stitching community, and I also read that when giving the award, one should stick to blogs with under 200 followers. Tres tricky, as some blogs don’t display their followers, some people anonymously subscribe, and a myriad of blog readers are used (Google, bloglovin, etc.). In a nutshell:
- You must acknowledge the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
- Give this award to 5 other bloggers. Please let them know through a comment on their blog.
- Post this wonderful award on your blog.
- Bask in the glory bestowed upon you and appreciate all the amazing bloggers out there.
- Enjoy and spread the good vibes around.
And can you believe this? Amy was recently awarded the Liebster. Now, that isn’t the unbelievable part. Not in the least. We all know she deserves some lobster love. Yet with her leggy wit, she went and appointed three of my choices. And she, herself, was a fourth! That woman is a runner, and a speedy one. While I was left standing at the gate, feigning starlet hair-pulling to go along with her Oscar-themed acceptance speech, the ever-gracious lady shined through: “Who cares if we double up on awardees. A movie can get multiple Oscars, right? Plus, it’s extra recognition for a blog that deserves it.”
So, without further ado,
crustacean Liebster Love to the following ladies of the cloth. Your collective talent, beauty, humor and intelligence brighten up the most overcast of days. I’m taking liberty to link more than five, simply because I want to :) Nine is auspicious, don’t you think?
