Sew buttons on your underwear
Have you ever heard that? Or is it just another one of my mom’s folksy, cryptic sayings? Anyway, this week’s challenge over at the Sew Weekly was a technique: the buttonhole. One would think I’d use this opportunity to play with my newly acquired Dritz bound buttonhole tool. I planned on it, but fabric has a way of speaking for itself. The 10¢ spool of crochet cotton above saved my butt this week. I’d randomly purchased it at a yard sale, without real purpose. Here’s a sneak peek of my submission.
Ooh, you’ve piqued my interest! Can’t wait to see what this is!
sew buttons on your underwear….zippers aren’t in style. That is what MY mother used to say.
Now that’s taking it to a whole new level! I wonder if my mom knows the second half?
I was seriously just wondering the other day if anyone else said Sew buttons on your underpants!! Haha now I know :) Moms are so funny.
Awesome! Maybe it’s a tri-state thing?!

You can impress your friends with obscure, folksy New England/Americanisms. A total trendsetter ;)
What IS that lining fabric?? Love it…
A dose of fun and a shot of silk :)
mine used to say sew buttons on your underwear because zippers are hard to get! -what does it all MEAN!? :)
